CMT 2026: New brand “Up in the South” focuses on our region
During the campaign day of the brand “Im Süden ganz oben” at CMT 2026, we got an idea of a project that also affects our region.

As part of the CMT in Stuttgart, an action day for the new tourist brand took place “At the top in the south” instead of. Since this initiative also affects our home region, we used the exhibition day to get a personal picture of ourselves on site.
Our board member Thilo Hack accepted the invitation of District Administrator Christoph Schauder and visited the trade fair together with Joachim Döffinger, mayor of the municipality of Assamstadt, and found out about the content, goals and direction of the new umbrella brand.
What is behind “Im Süden ganz oben”?
The brand “Im Süden ganz oben” was created to bring together several regions in northern Baden-Württemberg for tourism — including the lovely Tauber Valley. The aim is to make the diversity of these regions more visible and to position them as an attractive holiday and leisure destination.
Topics include:
- Cycling and hiking tourism
- Nature and cultural experiences
- Enjoyment, wine and regional offers
- Camping and getaways
It is precisely these focal areas that are also formative for our region and play an important role in its tourism development.
Exchange, impressions and regional relevance
At the exhibition stand, there was an opportunity to talk to those responsible and gain insights into the planned communication and positioning of the brand. It became clear how much the focus is on authentic, regional experiences — an approach that fits well with the strengths of the Tauber Valley.
The high level of support from trade fair visitors also showed that interest in nature-oriented, regional travel destinations continues to grow.
Our Conclusion
The day of action at CMT was a good opportunity to find out about a project that directly affects our region. Such initiatives can help to make northern Baden-Württemberg more visible overall and to sustainably strengthen regional tourism.
