An important milestone on our sustainability journey
At ANSMANN, sustainability is not just an aspiration - it is an integral part of our actions. The nomination for the German Sustainability Award 2026 confirms our course. We focus on continuous improvement in the areas of environmental protection, supply chain, product responsibility and packaging.
What we have already achieved
Our progress is measurable:
- 10% fewer harmful substances in our core product lines
- Over 75% of Tier 1 suppliers have been trained in sustainability and compliance
- 70% of new products undergo an internal sustainability assessment
- 18% more sales of rechargeable batteries compared to the previous year
Our goal in the area of packaging is to switch completely to recyclable mono-materials by the end of 2026. We are already doing away with plastic inserts, using digital operating instructions and reducing the volume of packaging in order to reduce waste and emissions. In addition, 50% of lead-acid batteries are delivered in the B2B sector.
Demonstrating sustainability - internally and externally
As a sign of our commitment, we will integrate the seal of the German Sustainability Award into our company presentations and e-mail signatures in future. This will make visible what we stand for: Taking responsibility - for people, the environment and future generations.
