NiCad sizes
Nickel products include Nickel cadmium (NiCad) as well as Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) cells. Construction of these cells are similar except for some salient differences between NiCad and NiMH technology.
Dimensions allow a general outlook on the size of a nickel based cylindrical cell. Most the manufacturers abide these dimensions however some are not consistent and have to be reviewed before using them as primary or substitute cells.

Non-standard cell sizes
In addition to these sizes there are several other iterations which have evolved per their usage in the applications e.g. Fat A, Long A, Long AAA etc. These are non conventional sizes and not all manufacturers manufacture them.
