ANSMANN AG
Founded in 1991 ANSMANN has been synonymous with excellence in the field of charging technology. The ANSMANN Industrial Solutions division configures, develops and produces customized battery packs, power supplies and chargers.
2011 saw the addition of a new building to the ANSMANN head office site in Assamstadt, Germany. This new building provides the space needed for new battery pack production lines. In addition to standard and primary cell packs, ANSMANN offer complex customized battery packs with individual safety board and software. After the construction of the housing and mechanical elements the 3D plotter cutter is able to produce physical samples without expensive tooling set-up charges.
Lithium primary and secondary cells may be transported only after successfully passed the examination of the UN transport regulation (whether on land, sea or air).
ANSMANN has a test-centre for testing Lithium batteries, conforming to UN transport regulations. Here are not only own battery-packs tested - this service is also available to customers.
Altitude simulation
Low pressure experienced during air transportation is simulated in a vacuum oven. The pressure is reduced to 115mbar and tested over 6hours. This environment simulates one ninth of standard air pressure.
Thermal test
Battery packs are exposed to temperatures from -40°C to +75°C in a climate chamber over several days.
Vibration and shock test
The vibration generator, also called a “shaker”, produces different vibrations and shock loads, simulating similar conditions that may occur during transportation.
Short circuit and overcharge test
This test simulates an external short circuit and overcharge. In addition, the test sample is kept in controlled storage for seven days.
